Another great client, Ray Challis, has had a successful season with the help of Dandy Engines. He was announced as the Club Champion & Victorian State Champion for 2007 by the Historic Touring Car Association of Victoria.
Ray races his Torana XU1 in the Historic Touring Car class Group NC. This class caters primarily for vehicles of a year, make and model which competed in Australia between 1 January, 1965, and 31 December, 1972 in either the Australian Touring Car Championship or races specifically for 3rd Category Group C Improved Production Touring Cars and Series Production Touring Cars.
Ray’s efforts are even more special considering he races his 202 Holden motor against many more powerful V8′s in his class. Dandy Engines are proud to have helped Ray to the Championship by building a strong and reliable motor, and we wish him all the best in his racing future.
